The online estimate is a guide

The smart estimate gives an indicative range based only on the answers you enter. It is designed to help you plan and decide whether to go further. It is not a quote, not an offer, and not a price we are bound by.

Where our pricing does not safely cover what you have described, the estimator does not guess. It tells you that a site inspection is needed.

Why the final price can differ

• Measurements taken on site are often different from estimates.
• Ground conditions, slope, drainage, tree roots and services in the ground affect the work.
• Access for vehicles, equipment and materials changes how long a job takes.
• Your final choice of materials and finishes.

The free site inspection

We visit, measure and look at the conditions before quoting. The inspection is free and you are under no obligation to proceed.

The formal quote

After the inspection we issue a written, itemised quote setting out the scope, exclusions, price, expiry date and terms. You receive it through a private secure link and can accept or decline it online. The quote you accept is kept exactly as it was; it is never changed afterwards.

Changes after acceptance

If you want something changed, or we find something on site that could not reasonably have been seen, we describe the change and its cost in a written variation. Work on the change goes ahead only after you approve it.
